We awoke to a great breakfast prepared by Kathleen, what a fantastic host she is. The Copper Moose is a must stay if you are near Glenallen or the Copper River Valley. We said our goodbyes and reluctantly leave for Haines Junction and the Raven Hotel. The weather is perfect, blue skies and temperatures in the 50s. We have seen several moose, eagles and ravens on the way, and then about 50 miles outside of Haines Junction we see a Black Bear walking down the side of the road. We slam on brakes to take some pictures and we see a large Brown Bear near the wood line digging for food. Alaska is not lacking for wildlife or we have been lucky so far in our sightings. After several side trips along the way, we finish the days 470 miles and arrive in Haines Junction. The Raven is very clean and more than we expected. The gourmet dinner menu had all our mouths watering for the home made German breakfast. We have seen some wonderful scenery and lots of wildlife and turn in satisfied with another great Alaskan RoadTrip day. Tomorrow we head to the coast again to Haines Alaska, home of the world’s largest concentration of Bald Eagles, hope to get some good pictures. More to follow……………………..

Guess who called us today, y'all?
C.D. from the Copper Moose!
Seems Nana left her jacket at the Bed and Breakfast and he was so kind, calling to see if we would give him your home address so he could mail it to you!
What nice folks!
He said he was so glad I had emailed them about Nana's birthday and had my phone number so he could get the jacket back to y'all!
Trey and Ambry loved the bears!
Trey said Papaw went on a bear hunt and really found some bears!
We really miss you!
LOTS of love!
